The temperature was high. The sun was out. I was surprised and disappointed. This day I needed to find the breeze, the wind beeting my face. I wanted to be blown in the right wind direction. Lose my breath in the storm. Get goosebumps in the breeze. I had to find it…

For the last few years, I have been exploring photography as an art platform. I frequently use myself as a mannequin and create characters as a way to recreate thought processes. My works are my platform to interpret the notion I have of myself and the world I exist in. Each photograph is at the same time an extension of the past, the things that shape me and what I have learned, as well as glimpse into the future I go towards. The main artistic influence on my works derives from Cindy Sherman, Tim Walker, Anja Niemi, Yasumasa Morimura and Uldus Bakthiozina.

Síðustu ár hef ég verið að nota ljósmyndun sem miðil til að skapa. Ég nota oft sjálfan mig sem hálfgerða gínu eða bý til karakter til að skapa ákveðna hugmynd sem ég fæ. Verkin mín eru nokkurs konar leið til að túlka hugmyndina sem ég hef um sjálfan mig og heiminn sem ég lifi í. Hver mynd er í senn framlenging af fortíðinni, hvaðan ég kem og það sem ég hef lært, sem og sýnishorn af framtíðinni hvert ég er að fara.
